Rhubarb Crumble

Rhubarb Crumble

Now that I’ve moved house I actually have a (very small) kitchen that I can use whenever I want I’ve been having some fun with baking.  I picked up some rhubarb a while ago and finally got round to using it in a rhubarb crumble- so if you’ve always wondered what to do with rhubarb then read on!

  • 500g Rhubarb
  • 200g Sugar
  • 100g Margerine
  • 100g Flour
  1. Pre-heat the oven to 200 celsius, gas mark 6, and some other amount in Fahrenheit that you’ll have to figure out yourself.
  2. Cut the rhubarb into inch sized chunks and put into a saucepan with a couple of tablespoons of water and 100g of sugar.  Simmer away until the rhubarb is soft but still intact.
  3. Weigh out the other ingredients into a bowl.  Use your hands to rub it into breadcrumbs.
  4. Put the  rhubarb into an oven proof dish and cover with the crumble mix.
  5. Put in the oven for about 30mins.
  6. Take out and eat!
