I did a post on homemade beauty products ages ago and thought I’d do another one about coconut oil. I’d heard some good stuff about coconut oil which is healthy to eat and good for skin and hair so I’d thought I’d try it out. Unless you live somewhere hot the coconut oil will probably be solid so you will need to melt it in the microwave, or stick the container in a bowl of hot water for 5 mins. Here’s what I came up with:
Of course you can also eat coconut oil, and cook with it! It’s supposed to be healthier than other oils because it contains healthy fat that can actually help you burn calories by increasing your ‘energy expenditure’. It reduces cholesterol, reduces hunger, and kills bacteria and viruses. It’s also supposed to people with Alzheimer’s, and seizures. Of course I haven’t personally undertaken this research, I’ve just read the internet but it does seem like pretty groovy stuff!
